Fatal collision on Blanchfield Road; seeking witnesses
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Thursday, September 24, 2026 10:20 a.m.
(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is seeking witnesses following a fatal collision that occurred on Friday, September 18, 2026.
At approximately 5:42 p.m., officers responded to the report of a collision involving a motor vehicle and a motorcycle on Blanchfield Road, which resulted in the death of a 31-year-old man.*
A 60-year-old woman suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to the hospital. She remains in hospital in critical condition.
Police are asking anyone with information regarding the collision, or who may have cameras on their properties or a dash cam that may have captured the incident, to come forward.
