Fatal collision on Woodroffe Avenue; seeking witnesses
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Wednesday, April 22, 2026 9:40 a.m.
(Ottawa)—The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is seeking witnesses to a fatal collision that occurred on Tuesday, April 21, at the intersection of Woodroffe Avenue and Slack Road.
At approximately 5:20 p.m., officers responded to a serious two-vehicle collision between an SUV and a sedan.
Sadly, a woman in her 50s was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Three other people were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision or may have dashcam footage of this incident and has not yet spoken to police.
