Illicit tobacco seized during search warrant execution
(Ottawa) – On August 12, 2026, members of the Ottawa Police Service West Neighbourhood Resource Team executed a search warrant at a business following an investigation into the sale of illicit tobacco products.

One employee was charged in connection with the sale of illicit tobacco products, and a quantity of tobacco products and Canadian currency was seized.
Items seized:
• 191,180 cigarettes
• 2,210 cigars
• 2,033 ZYN tins
• 4,158 grams of loose tobacco
• 1,010 vape pods
• $8,663 Canadian currency
The investigation remains ongoing, and further charges are possible.
