Join Us to Learn About Career Opportunities with Ottawa Police

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service is hosting a service-wide event to showcase the many career paths and opportunities available within OPS.

Titled “What is Possible at OPS”, the event will give members of the public the chance to learn about a variety of roles within the Service, speak directly with teams, and gain insight into career pathways across youth programs, volunteer positions, sworn officers, and civilian roles.

As the first event of its kind, it will feature 24 information tables representing a broad cross-section of functions and specialties. Attendees will be able to explore career options, ask questions, and gain a deeper understanding of the skills and experience required for roles across different sections of the Service.

The evening will also include the official launch of the 30 Forward initiative, a forward-looking commitment focused on shaping the future of policing in Ottawa. This initiative emphasizes building a workforce that is inclusive, equitable, and representative of the community, while creating clear pathways for recruitment, retention, and advancement.
