Man in life-threatening condition following aggravated assault
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Thursday, April 2, 2026 10:01 a.m.
(Ottawa)—The Ottawa Police Service is investigating an aggravated assault that took place near Colonel By Drive and Rideau Street.
On April 1, shortly after 2 p.m., a man was assaulted resulting in life-threatening injuries.
A male was arrested shortly after the incident and is in custody. The potential involvement of other individuals is under investigation.
