Police investigating Belisle Street shooting on August 5th

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service is investigating a shooting that occurred on Wednesday, August 5.

Just before 1:30 a.m., officers were called to a residence on Belisle Street for multiple reports of gunshots.

One man was transported to hospital with injuries. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

No one is in custody at this time.

This is believed to be a targeted incident.

The scene remains secure as investigators continue to process evidence.

Officers are seeking any additional witnesses or anyone with information who has not already spoken with police.
