Seeking witnesses: fatal Bank Street collision

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Wednesday, March 11, 2026 11:30 a.m.

(Ottawa)—The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is seeking witnesses to a fatal collision that occurred on Monday, March 9th in the 2200 block of Bank Street.

At approximately 3:00 p.m., officers responded to a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in a parking lot.

The pedestrian, an 83-year-old woman, was transported to the hospital where she died because of her injuries.

Investigators would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision or may have dashcam footage of this incident and has not yet spoken to police.
