Seeking witnesses to a fatal collision on McArthur Avenue
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Wednesday, September 23, 2026 8:25 a.m.
Ottawa — Ottawa Police are seeking witnesses following a fatal collision that occurred on Tuesday, September 22, 2026.
At approximately 5:40 p.m., emergency crews responded to the report of a motor vehicle collision in the 100 block of McArthur Avenue, where a vehicle struck the front of a commercial business, injuring two men inside.
Tragically, a 30-year-old man was critically injured and succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital.
A 32-yr-old man was also taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
A 57-yr-old woman was arrested at the scene and charged with impaired driving-related offences. She will appear in court today.
Police are asking anyone with information regarding the collision, or who may have cameras on their property or at home, or a dash cam that may have captured the incident, to come forward.
