Seeking witnesses to Somerset Street assault
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Tuesday, September 1, 2026 1:50 p.m.
(Ottawa)—The Ottawa Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance with an assault that occurred in the area of Somerset Street and Lyon Street during the evening hours of August 14, 2026. The incident resulted in an elderly man being taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Anyone with information or who may have witnessed the incident is asked to call the Central Criminal Investigations Section at 613-236-1222, extension 5166 or email centralciu@ottawapolice.ca.
