Suspect still sought in Colonel By sexual assault

(Ottawa) — Investigators continue to seek information in relation to a sexual assault that occurred March 28 on Colonel By Drive, near the Mackenzie King Bridge.
A new image of the suspect is being released, though it remains low quality.
If you were in the area between 11 p.m. and midnight or have dash cam footage, please contact us and reference case #26-81161.

Seeking witnesses, dash cam footage, to identify a suspect following sexual assault on Colonel By Drive
Ottawa — The Ottawa Police Service is looking to identify a suspect in relation to a sexual assault that occurred late Saturday, March 28th, on Colonel By Drive, in the area beneath the Mackenzie King Bridge.
The assault took place between approximately 11:00 p.m. and midnight. Investigators are seeking to identify a suspect in relation to this incident. Although the photo is of low quality, the person is described as:
- White or Indigenous male
- Tall (over 6ft)
- Approximately 40 yrs old
- Acne scarring on his cheeks
- Facial hair (possibly a mustache)
- Medium build
- English speaking, no accent
- Travelling by foot, had a black backpack
- Black jacket and baseball cap
- Known to smoke
Investigators believe there were multiple vehicles travelling through the area at the time, as well as potential pedestrian traffic.
Police are asking anyone who may have been driving along Colonel By Drive during that time and has dash cam footage, or anyone who was in the area and may have witnessed anything suspicious, to come forward.
