Suspects sought in Wellington Street West theft and fraud investigation

Ottawa — The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is asking for the public’s assistance to identify two suspects involved in a theft and fraud investigation.
On the afternoon of July 17th, 2026, two subjects entered a business in the 1300 block of Wellington Street West and stole the victim's purse. The subjects subsequently made several fraudulent transactions with stolen credit cards throughout the City of Ottawa.
Anyone with information regarding the identity of these individuals is asked to call the Central Criminal Investigations Section at 613-236-1222, extension 5166.
Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-8477 or crimestoppers.ca.
