Missing 13-year-old youth to locate

(Ottawa)— The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is requesting the public’s assistance in locating Nakita Morris-Copenace, who was last seen on August 16 at approximately 11:00 p.m. at Tunney’s Pasture LRT station.

Nakita is described as an Indigenous female with a medium build, approximately 5’7” tall and weighing approximately 120 lbs. She has shoulder-length black hair with pink on one side and blonde tips on the other side. She has scarring on her left arm.

She was last seen wearing a black Nike hooded sweater, black Nike sweatpants with a hole at the knee, and white Nike shoes. She was also wearing a dark-coloured New York Yankees baseball cap and a gold pull-string-style bracelet with a diamond on her right hand.

Nakita is known to frequent the downtown area, particularly the Rideau Centre and ByWard Market.

There are concerns for her health and safety.

Anyone with information about Nakita’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Ottawa Police Service at 613-236-1222, extension 7300.
