Man wanted in connection with three Ottawa jewellery store robberies

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Thursday, September 24, 2026  1:20 p.m.

Ottawa — The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is seeking public assistance to locate Alain Therrien, 50, who is wanted in connection with three jewellery store robberies at different shopping centres in Ottawa on September 11, September 17, and September 22, 2026.

Attempts have been made to locate Therrien, but his whereabouts are currently unknown. A first-instance warrant has been issued for his arrest. 

Therrien is charged with the following:

·         3 counts of Robbery

·         3 counts of Mischief over $5000

·         1 count of Fail to Comply with Release Order

Anyone with information about Therrien’s whereabouts is asked to contact the OPS Robbery Unit at 613-236-1222, extension 5116.
