Missing 12-year-old youth to locate

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Thursday, September 24, 2026   4:40 p.m. 

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service is requesting assistance in locating Emily Koonoo, who was last seen at approximately 5:30 p.m. on September 23, 2026, in the 1600 block of Hunt Club Road. 

Emily is described as Indigenous, 4’10” tall, weighing approximately 90 lbs., with long black hair, brown eyes, and multiple nose and ear piercings. She was last seen wearing grey pants, a black sweater, and black shoes. 

There are concerns for her health and safety. 

Anyone with information about Emily’s whereabouts or who has seen her is asked to contact the Ottawa Police Service at 613-236-1222, extension 7300.
