Physiotherapist charged with sexual assault; police concerned there may be additional victims

Ottawa — The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) has charged a 42-year-old man following an investigation into allegations of sexual assault involving two patients while he was employed as a licensed physiotherapist.

Bharat Sekhri was arrested and charged with two counts of Sexual Assault.

Investigators are concerned there may be additional victims and are asking anyone with information to come forward.

Anyone who believes they may have been a victim or who has information relevant to this investigation is asked to contact the Ottawa Police Service West Criminal Investigations Unit at 613-236-1222, extension 2226.

Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-8477(TIPS).
