Police Week 2026

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Monday, May 4, 2026 10:40 a.m.
(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is pleased to announce that it will be hosting its annual Police Week events from May 12, 2026, to May 15, 2026, in communities city-wide.
Police Week is all about connecting with the community. It's a chance for us to sit down with residents, answer your questions, share a meal, and build relationships.
Each community event will have a free community BBQ, games, specialized OPS units, frozen treats, popcorn and more!
This week is your chance to meet the people behind the uniform and see firsthand how we work to support your neighbourhood.
This year’s theme: "Committed to Serve Together," serves as a reminder that OPS is working with the community, not just in the community. It emphasizes collaboration, trust, and mutual responsibility in the safety of our city.
Come out and meet your local officers. We’re excited to connect with you at any of our upcoming events:
-
Tuesday, May 12 | Andrew Haydon Park | 3127 Carling Ave.
-
Wednesday, May 13 | Elmvale Mall | 1910 St-Laurent Ave.
-
Thursday, May 14 | Vanier Hub | 271 Marier Ave.
-
Friday, May 15 | Osgoode Village Park | 5660 Osgoode Main St.
