Seeking witnesses to a collision on Meadowlands Drive East
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Thursday, May 7, 2026 2:05 p.m.
(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is seeking witnesses to a collision involving a pedestrian that occurred on May 1st in the Meadowlands Drive East / Merivale Road intersection.
At approximately 3:10 p.m., a pedestrian was crossing Meadowlands Drive to go south when they were struck by a four-door, dark-coloured sedan, which then fled the scene.
The pedestrian suffered injuries and was treated at the hospital.
The investigation is ongoing.
Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed or may have dashcam footage of the collision or footage from the area. Anyone with information is asked to contact West District Patrol at 613-236-1222, extension 3326.
