Suspect sought following theft of delivery truck and fraudulent card use

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Wednesday, June 3 2026 11:25 a.m.

(Ottawa)— The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in the theft of an unmarked delivery truck and the subsequent fraudulent use of the driver’s credit and debit cards.

At approximately 11:10 a.m. on February 19, the delivery truck was parked in front of a residence in the 20 block of Homestead Street when it was stolen. Following the theft, the suspect used the driver's credit and debit cards to make unauthorized purchases.

The suspect had a shaved head and was observed wearing a face covering positioned around his chin and neck area, and he appears to have facial hair.

At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black hoodie, dark track pants, and distinctive black-and-white sneakers. He was also wearing a large ring on his right hand and may have a tattoo on that hand.
