Suspect to identify; Merivale Road commercial robbery
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Wednesday, July 8, 2026 12:15 p.m.
(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service is seeking the public's assistance to identify a suspect involved in a commercial robbery in the 900 Block of Merivale Road.
On July 1, at 10:09 a.m., the suspect entered the store, selected some products, and proceeded to walk out. Outside, the suspect went to steal some alcohol when he was approached by staff. The suspect assaulted the staff and escaped with the stolen products on an e-scooter.
The suspect is described as a White man, mid-20s to early 30s, between 5' 6" and 5'10", with long brown hair in a ponytail and a dark beard. At the time of this offence the a yellow button-up shirt, black shorts, reading glasses, white running shoes, a backpack and a cross-body bag.
