Traffic enforcement targets aggressive driving

(Ottawa) — Ottawa Police Service (OPS) Traffic officers conducted targeted #ResidentsMatter enforcement on Friday, September 18, focusing on aggressive driving, vehicle gatherings and other traffic-related concerns across the city.
Throughout the evening, officers laid the following charges:

1 – Unnecessary Noise

1 – Drive Motor Vehicle – No Muffler

5 – Fail to Display Two Plates

1 – Drive Motor Vehicle – Screen Visible to Driver (driver was watching videos)

1 – Drive Hand-Held Communication Device

OPS continues to monitor reports of vehicle gatherings and aggressive driving and will conduct targeted enforcement when and where these activities create concerns for residents and road users.
