Youth ages 12-17

Youth aged 12 to 17 can ONLY apply for police records checks for employment or volunteering with government (federal, provincial, municipal) agencies.

Non-government agencies are not authorized to receive any results of any youth records, and youths will no longer be permitted to apply for any level of Police Records Check.  

Non-government agencies include, but are not limited to, organizations receiving government funding, such as schools, universities or hospitals.  

To require applicants to apply and pay for a Police Records Check when no results are released is not in the best interest of applicants, the police service and the community.  

Police Record Check Results

In the event that there is information to be disclosed, a copy of the results of your records check will be sent directly to the agency, while you will also receive a copy.
