Serious collision on Rideau Street near King Edward Avenue, police seeking witnesses

(Ottawa) —The Ottawa Police Service Fatal Collision Unit investigators are seeking witnesses to a collision that occurred this morning at the intersection of Rideau Street and King Edward Avenue, that resulted in serious injuries.
At approximately 9:35am, officers were called to the area of Rideau Street just west of King Edward Avenue in response to a collision involving a transport truck and a pedestrian.

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Arson Unit has charged a man following a fire in the 1100 block of Cummings Avenue last week.
On Tuesday, August 22, at approximately 7:10 am, officers were called to the area in response to a disturbance in the apartment building.
The fire caused significant damage and left some residents without shelter.
