Fatal Collision on Prince of Wales Drive: police seeking witnesses

(Ottawa) —The Ottawa Police Service Fatal Collision Investigations Unit is seeking witnesses to a fatal collision that occurred last night.
At approximately 11:30 pm, officers were called to the 3500 block of Prince of Wales Drive in response to a collision involving two motor vehicles.
A 63-year-old woman succumbed to critical injuries suffered in the collision.

Community partners out to light up cyclists this Tuesday

(Ottawa) –Ottawa Police Service and Safer Roads Ottawa have partnered to raise awareness and encourage Ottawa cyclists to light themselves up while cycling in the early evening and night.
At the upcoming Lights on Bikes event, organizers and community partners will provide free bike lights and reflective bands as well as tips for improving cyclist visibility and general road safety.
