Suspects to identify in downtown assault

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police is investigating an assault that occurred on April 12, between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. near the intersection of Metcalfe Street and Laurier Avenue West.
A group of 3-5 individuals were reportedly verbally harassing an individual when a bystander intervened. The bystander was then physically assaulted by members of the group.
Suspect #1 wore a face mask, dark clothing, grey shoes, black gloves, a scarf and a green baseball...

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Homicide Unit has arrested and charged a woman in relation to the arson that killed 51-year-old Ottokie Kelly on October 8, 2024.
Naveen ALKHALIL, 47-years-old, of Ottawa, has been charged with the following:
- First-degree murder
- Arson disregard for human life
- Arson causing bodily harm
- Arson causing property damage
- Possession of incendiary material for arson
She will appear in court later today.
