Man charged with Sexual assault and Forcible confinement

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Sexual Assault and Child Abuse (SACA) Unit has charged Samer AL-AKHALI, 25 years old, of Ottawa with one count of Sexual Assault and Forcible Confinement.
Police received a complaint following an incident this past weekend where he assaulted a woman in her late teens as he drove her home.
He is scheduled to appear before the court today.

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Homicide Unit is investigating a shooting death that occurred on Tuesday, July 16, in the 600 block of Trigoria Crescent.
Police and emergency responders were called to the area at approximately 8:31 p.m. A male victim was located with a gunshot wound and succumbed to his injuries on the scene. The victim is identified as Husain Dahis, 26 years old, of Ottawa.

(Ottawa) —The Ottawa Police Service Fatal Collision Unit investigators are seeking witnesses to a fatal collision that occurred yesterday, Monday July 8th.
