Survey on the use of in-car cameras – deadline extended

(Ottawa)—The deadline to complete the Ottawa Police Service (OPS) public survey, seeking feedback on the introduction of in-car camera pilot project, has been extended to Friday, June 14th.

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit continues to seek public assistance to identify two suspects responsible for three personal robberies in the 2100 and 3100 blocks of Carling Avenue.
The robberies were of elderly women, one robbery occurred on January 25th and two occurred on January 26th, all have been linked to the same male and female suspect.

Tragic drowning at Britannia Beach

(Ottawa) —The Ottawa Police Service regrets to advise that a drowning occurred at Britannia Beach yesterday.
Tragically, a 9-year-old boy was found unresponsive in the water around 3:50 p.m. Bystanders, police and firefighters began CPR until Ottawa Paramedics arrived and took over. Sadly, the boy was declared deceased in hospital.
