David CHEDDESINGH is described as 50 years old and is known to wear black-framed glasses.

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service has charged an Ottawa man in connection with sexual offences dating back to the 1980’s.

Zulfikarali NAJAK, 81 years of age, is charged with two counts of sexual assault and is scheduled to appear in court later this afternoon.

(Ottawa) - The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is seeking witnesses to a collision that occurred on Monday, June 15, 2026. 

At approximately 2:58 p.m., officers responded to a collision involving two vehicles on Hawthorne Road near Leitrim Road, which resulted in serious injuries. 

(Ottawa) — Three individuals have been charged following an investigation into the use of counterfeit Canadian currency in fraudulent online marketplace transactions.

Since March 2026, the Ottawa Police Service has received multiple reports of individuals using counterfeit banknotes to purchase legitimate items advertised on online platforms, including Facebook Marketplace.

(Ottawa)—The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is seeking witnesses to a collision that occurred on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at the intersection of Greenbank Road and Strandherd Drive.

At approximately 9:30 a.m., emergency crews responded to a collision involving an e-bike (similar in appearance to a motorcycle) and a commercial refrigerated cube van. The e-bike rider sustained serious injuries.

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is seeking witnesses following a fatal collision that occurred in the 2100 block of Carling Avenue on Sunday, June 14, 2026.

At approximately 8:05 p.m., officers responded to a report of a collision between an SUV and an e‑scooter near the intersection of Carling Avenue and Fairlawn Avenue. 

(Ottawa) — On Friday evening, June 12^th, 2026, members of the public noticed a person in the food court of a local downtown mall concealing what they believed was a handgun.  Several people called 911, and members of the Ottawa Police Service immediately responded.
