Homicide Investigation - Orleans suspect arrested

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Homicide Unit has arrested and charged 27-year-old Muhammad KHATTAK of Ottawa with second degree murder in the August 7th fatal stabbing of Varney Marshall on Mockingbird Drive.
KHATTAK is scheduled to appear in court today.

(Ottawa)— The Ottawa Police Service Guns and Gangs Unit is investigating a shooting that occurred in the 1000 block of Bank St. early this morning. Police responded to calls of a shooting at Lansdowne Park, at approximately 2:20 a.m. The investigation found several bullet casings on the ground, but no reports of injuries.
