Homicide Investigation - Orleans suspect arrested

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Homicide Unit has arrested and charged 27-year-old Muhammad KHATTAK of Ottawa with second degree murder in the August 7th fatal stabbing of Varney Marshall on Mockingbird Drive. 

KHATTAK is scheduled to appear in court today.

Arrests in Ottawa result in identifying theft suspects across Ontario

(Ottawa) – Frontline patrol and Traffic officers arrested two individuals involved in a large-scale theft operation from numerous stores in Ottawa.

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Hate and Bias Crime Unit has charged an individual following a series of mischief to property incidents across the city of Ottawa in March of this year.

Shooting Investigation at Lansdowne Park

(Ottawa)— The Ottawa Police Service Guns and Gangs Unit is investigating a shooting that occurred in the 1000 block of Bank St. early this morning. Police responded to calls of a shooting at Lansdowne Park, at approximately 2:20 a.m. The investigation found several bullet casings on the ground, but no reports of injuries. The shootings are considered targeted and there is no current risk to public safety.
