What began as a call about a frightened 12-year-old boy quickly turned into something much bigger for two Ottawa police officers.

The Carlington community came together for the fourth annual Community Girls Day, an initiative designed to provide a safe, inclusive, and empowering space for young girls.

Hosted in partnership by the City of Ottawa and the Ottawa Police Service, the event welcomed school-aged participants from the neighbourhood.
