22-year-old charged in child luring investigation
(Ottawa)— The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) has charged a 22-year-old man following several child luring incidents that took place between March 2024 and December 2024.
On March 11th, 2026, at approximately 6:05 a.m., the OPS Internet Child Exploitation Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in Alfred, Ontario.

Street Crime Unit investigation results in two arrests and drug seizure
(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) has charged two men following a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act investigation that began in February 2026.
On Wednesday, March 4, 2026, the Street Crime Unit executed search warrants at two addresses in the 300 block of Bobolink Ridge and the 300 block of Maclaren Street.

Seeking witnesses: fatal Bank Street collision
(Ottawa)—The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is seeking witnesses to a fatal collision that occurred on Monday, March 9th in the 2200 block of Bank Street.
At approximately 3:00 p.m., officers responded to a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in a parking lot.

Joint investigation results in child luring charges against New York man
(Ottawa)— The Ottawa Police Service (OPS), in collaboration with the New York State Police, investigated a 20-year-old man from New York for child luring offences.
The investigation began in September 2025 and focused on allegations that 20-year-old Brayden BERGFJORD lured a 12-year-old child from Ottawa using online methods.

Online Reporting for Non-Emergency Incidents Now Easier and More Accessible
The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is upgrading its online incident reporting system to make it easier and faster for residents to report non-emergency incidents in multiple languages from their computer or mobile device.
This modernized tool allows community members to report incidents like property theft, vandalism, driving-related complaints and the newly added report option for cryptocurrency fraud, a growing concern in the Ottawa area.

Ottawa Police Gala Raises $100,000 for Community Organizations
(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service is pleased to announce that the 2025 Ottawa Police Gala raised $100,000 in support of local organizations, marking one of the most successful fundraising years in the event’s history.
During a cheque presentation ceremony held at Ottawa Police Headquarters, Chief Eric Stubbs presented $45,000 donations to both the Dave Smith Youth Treatment Centre and the Capital Prosperity Foundation. An additional $10,000 was presented to the Beechwood Cemetery.

Hockey for a Cause: Justice on Ice Donates $9,480 to CHEOThe success of Justice on Ice came full circle this week as the funds raised were officially handed over to the CHEO Foundation.
Sgt. Sébastien Lemay, members of the University of Ottawa Civil Law student team, and a representative from CHEO came together to present a cheque for $9,480.31, the total raised through the inaugural charity hockey game between the Ottawa Police Service and the University of Ottawa Civil Law students.
