(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service is hosting a service-wide event to showcase the many career paths and opportunities available within OPS.
Titled “What is Possible at OPS”, the event will give members of the public the chance to learn about a variety of roles within the Service, speak directly with teams, and gain insight into career pathways across youth programs, volunteer positions, sworn officers, and civilian roles.
(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is requesting the public’s assistance to identify one of the suspects linked to a home invasion and carjacking that occurred on Saturday, February 14th at approximately 2:10 a.m. in the area of Woodroffe Avenue and Tallwood Drive.
The suspect is described as Black. At the time of the home invasion, he was wearing eyeglasses, a black puffer coat and dark pants and shoes.

On November 8, 2025, officers responded to reports of possible human remains in the area.

On February 7, 2026, Hate and Bias Crime Unit investigators were notified of a road rage interaction in which the suspect engaged in aggressive behaviour toward another driver while uttering hate-motivated comments.

At approximately 3:30 p.m., the woman walked through the store and filled a baby stroller full of products and exited without paying.
(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service has charged a youth in relation to a stabbing that occurred in the 1300 block of Woodroffe Avenue on February 10.
The youth was charged with assault with a weapon, failing to comply with an order (two counts), assault causing bodily harm, and possessing a weapon.
(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is seeking the public’s assistance to identify a suspect involved in three robberies in the Meadowlands/Prince of Wales area on February 16th and 17th.
The suspect has robbed three restaurants by pretending to be a paying customer, making a purchase. When the cash register is opened, the suspect jumps over the counter to reach it.
(Ottawa)— The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) has laid 13 additional charges in a criminal harassment investigation that began in 2025.
John VIOLETTE, 46, of Ottawa, is facing new charges including criminal harassment, voyeurism, distribution of voyeuristic material, and four offences related to child sexual abuse and exploitation material.
