(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) has charged a youth with several drug-related offences following an investigation.
The ByWard Market Central Neighbourhood Resource Team (NRT) launched an investigation into a residence in the ByWard Market after receiving complaints from city partners about suspected illegal drug activity.

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service has laid charges following an investigation into suspected drug trafficking activity.
In early March 2026, members of the Guns and Gangs Unit received information regarding a man believed to be trafficking controlled substances in Ottawa.

Ottawa Police's Third Annual Beeping Eggs ProjectThe third annual Beeping Eggs Project in Ottawa brought families together this spring for an inclusive Easter egg hunt designed for children who are blind or visually impaired.
Unlike traditional egg hunts, participants searched for plastic eggs equipped with small electronic beepers, allowing children to locate them independently by sound.

Charges laid in ByWard Market stabbing incident
(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) has charged a 25-year-old man following a stabbing on April 11th in the William Street and George Street area.
Following their investigation, the Central Criminal Investigation Unit have charged the 25-year-old with:
- Attempted murder
- Aggravated assault
- Possessing a dangerous weapon
- Carrying a concealed weapon
The investigation is ongoing.

Ottawa — The Ottawa Police Service has laid charges in connection with a suspicious person investigation on the campus of the University of Ottawa on April 10, 2026.
As previously reported, officers responded to the area of Nicholas Street and Laurier Avenue following reports of a suspicious person.

At approximately 5:10 p.m., officers responded to a report of a single all‑terrain vehicle (ATV) collision on a private property in the 1700 block of Dunrobin Road.

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service has charged two men with multiple firearms offences following an incident in the city’s south end.
On April 2, at approximately 2:28 p.m., officers responded to the 2800 block of Riverside Drive for a suspicious incident.
